This website (defrente.puerto-penasco.com) is a collaboration between DE FRENTE newspaper and Puerto Peñasco Mexico Online, to bring news and information about Puerto Peñasco and Sonora to the web. Both DE FRENTE and Puerto Peñasco Mexico Online are committed to bringing news about the Sonoran region to a larger audience. We think it's important to provide news and commentary from a Sonoran perspective.

Unfortunately, due to time and other constraints, we simply cannot get all of the articles from every issue of De Frente translated and online. Thus, this website does not constitute a full english copy of De Frente, but usually carries between five and eight stories from each issue. Perhaps with time, this will change.

DE FRENTE is a weekly newspaper published Sonora, Mexico, that covers the Sonoran towns of Sonoyta, Puerto Penasco, and Caborca. It can be purchased in and around Puerto Peñasco for $10 pesos (about $1 USD), and DE FRENTE maintains a Spanish-language website found at defrente.com.mx.

The site has been in operation since 1994, serves over 2,000 unique visitors per day, and strives to be the single best online resource about Puerto Peñasco. Puerto-penasco.com includes photos, news stories, maps, directions, message boards, hotel bookings, and and all other sorts of information of use to visitors headed to Puerto Peñasco.

About the DE FRENTE publication schedule

DE FRENTE is a weekly paper, and thus, defrente.puerto-penasco.com will be updated weekly. There will be some delay as we work through each translation cycle - typically about 5 days - but we will post new articles as soon as they arrive.
